PES 2008 360 Option File is out!

Option File has been created by gjsmsith, so all credit goes to him

Just a quick mention that there a slight risk of having your account on LIVE banned, but it’s very unlikely, and has happened to nobody.

If you don’t understand the difference, read on:

BEFORE STARTING-
delete your existing edit and uniform files just leaving your option file (system data saves 76kb)

FOR .BIN- download them to your PC, extract zipped folder, plug in ur 360 memory card and usb converter cable, transfer them to your memory card, take out your memory card, put memory card in xbox, go to dashboard, delete your existing edit and uniform files just leaving your option file (system data saves 76kb) if you haven’t done already, copy the new edit and uniform files from your memory card to the hard drive, remove memory, play game, check the edit screen to see if changes occured, if so play… if not do this fix-go back to 360 dashboard, open hard drive files, look for pes saves, if they say ‘unknown’ next to them- select copy and then select the same hard drive they are on anyway and your xbox user name will appear next to them.. now they will work.

FOR XPLODER .GSX- download them to your PC, extract the zipped folder, put the .gsx files in your PC’s game saves folder (C:\Program Files\Xploder\XBOX 360 Cheatsaves\Saves) turn on your xploder software, plug in your 360 memory card and usb converter cable, transfer them from PC to your memory card this turns them back from .GSX to .bin. take out your memory card, put memory card in xbox, go to dashboard, delete your existing edit and uniform files just leaving your option file (system data saves 76kb) if you haven’t done already. Copy the new edit and uniform files from your memory card to the hard drive, remove memory, play game, check the edit screen to see if changes occured, if so play… if not do this fix-go back to 360 dashboard, open hard drive files, look for pes saves, if they say ‘unknown’ next to them- select copy and then select the same hard drive they are on anyway and your xbox user name will appear next to them.. now they will work

Also, you cannot, transfer this with a usb, it simply won’t work. You need a 360 hard drive or some sort of 360 memory stick

Soccer AM’s TUBES on PES2008!

Almost everyone from the UK has heard of Soccer AM and will probably know who TUBES is but, if you don’t then you don’t. Well anyway the guys at W.E.N.B and Soccer AM worked together and made TUBES from Soccer AM on PES 2008. So he’s now available for download. This is only for the PS3 im afraid.

He will replace Rooney as England’s number 9.

PES Is Here To Stay

Just a quick update on the latest gaming charts, and despite all the critisicm, PES is still top. Still early days, but it’ll be interesting to see how long they can stay there.

Winning Eleven 2008 demo is out!

I’ve always been a fan of PES 2008’s Japanese counterpart, Winning Eleven. It’s been around for a lot longer than PES series, and I’ve always enjoyed it more, the main difference between the two being the fluid gameplay. So it’s interesting to see that the WE 2008 demo is out on the Japan and Honk Kong store. We know almost all of you will have the US or UK store,so here is some more info on how to create an account.

You should then have access to the store where WE2008 will be out.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if it has no slowdown on the demo, and eventually the game.

Another slowdown solution…

As all you PS3 and probably non-PS3 owners know the PS3 version of PES2008 has slowdown. Sony fanboy or not it’s not very good. So here’s another possible solution to your problems. It does require you to turn off the commentary (OH NO!!) and the BGM (even BIGGER OH NO!!…Seriously though there’s some good tracks). Ok so here’s what you do;

 First install to the HDD

Turn Off:
1) Commentaries (all)
2) BMG Music (0%)
3) Stadium Effects = NO

 This should at least help the slowdown problem in the game.

The Weekly Monday Round-Up

Not much for today, the main news being that Konami were pleased with gaming stores for refusing to break the release date for PES 2008

In other news:

•Many, many PES vs Fifa reviews have surfaced over the last few days. Looks like the general consensus is that PES just about shades it this year, but they better step it up next year or Fifa may win the gaming battle.

• The PES 2008 Demo has finally hit the UK store. According to some, there’s slowdown even on the demo, which is pretty dissapointing.

•PES 2008 will be available to buy on November 8th in Australia.

•PES 2008 now has a myspace! This is run by official members of Konami, so check back for news.

•Here are the first images of the capabalities of editing on a 360, courtesy of WENB

Tutorial On Transferring Your Option Files From PC To PS3

Many people have complained about not being able to get our option files onto their PS3’s . Ali has generously sent in a tutorial made by himself, so hopefully this should all help you out.

The Repercussions Of Removing Kit Selection In Master League

Above is a video of me playing my master league with Newcastle. I’m facing Besiktas in this match and PES 2008 has generously paired both of us up with the exact same kit colors. This would never be an issue if you were simply allowed to select your kit, but this has mysteriously been removed from the game. Whether it’s lazy programming or not enough space to fit in (which is a piss poor excuse, especially on a PS3), this needs to be sorted out, hopefully in a patch released by Konami, rather than in PES 2009.

Also to mention this is what Besiktas’ away kit looks like .
Why they couldn’t pair us up with Newcastle Home and Besiktas away is baffling.

You tested PES 2008 in preview. Which is your opinion?

Me, I am really very content. There is for example technical epic which was added and which is really realistic, in the event the talonnade where one passes the ball behind the foot of support which I sometimes make. And then my character resembles to me much more! From France, one asked Konami, in Japan, to make an effort to model as well as possible the Didier Drogba virtual… I thank much for it. Besides I make a point of saying that I give myself pleasure and that it is a pleasure of working with Konami. Thank you with all and have fun!
